You definitely recognize her face from the cover of Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Cosmo & her Revlon’s Most Unforgettable Women Campaign. You have seen her walk on every runway for the most exclusive designers in the world: Versace, Armani, Prada, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Channel, Azzedine Alaia , Donna Karan, Lanvin, St. Laurent, Balmain, Balenciaga, Gaultier... But you definitely don’t know Kara Young. Much more than a perfect face & a body so incredible, that it would send anyone running to the nearest gym.
From Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, Victoria Secret Campaigns, Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Cosmopolitan & numerous other international magazines. Covergirl Kara Young had countless global marketing campaigns for cosmetic giants such as Revlon, Maybelline and L’oreal. Kara was also an Entertainment Correspondent for Fox News Channel, interviewing celebs & covering entertainment events, fashion shows, films and music. Let’s not forget the huge commercials she was featured in: Jello, Bacardi, Axe Cologne, Dove Soap , Michelob, Navy Cologne.
Kara is smart, kind, and accomplished well beyond the modeling world. While being a devoted wife, and a very hands-on mom to her two sons, she has also been an entrepreneur and philanthropist. You may think that you want to hate her for “having it all,” but that is impossible, because she is as kind, warm, and funny, as she is beautiful. There is a reason why every supermodel considers her a close friend.
ChanceTV was able to catch up with Kara, and discuss everything from homeschooling her son during quarantine to her two year relationship with Donald Trump. To say that she has seen it all is an understatement. Though known for being very reserved and private, Kara was once again thrust into the spotlight last January when testifying in Harvey Weinstein’s Trial.
Kara was there to testify regarding her good friend, Annabella Sciorra, and how she witnessed Annabella’s trauma from assault. Some claimed Kara left the courtroom crying. From the picture I see above, it looks more like a woman who just kicked a disgusting bully’s a–. Another name that has continued to be brought up with Kara’s, is that of a man by the name Donald Trump. Kara maintains that, the man that the world sees now is very different than the one with whom she shared her life for two years (see interview). “I didn’t hide my race from Donald Trump. He knew,” Kara Young told The New York Times. “He would say, ‘You’re like Derek Jeter.’ Sources claim, “This was a girl he stayed home with, ate at home with and watched movies… It was very domesticated.”
A.J. Benza revealed in an interview for “All the President’s Women,” by Karen Johnson. Donald Trump’s feelings for Kara Young had been so real that, he had asked her to marry him before they had even been together a year.” Young turned Trump down. “And he made numerous attempts.”
She had more criticism for A.J. Benza, her boyfriend prior to Trump, telling Chance that “he is no angel.” Kara is much more than a beautiful woman on the arm of famous men. In addition to making historic strides in her modeling career as a bi-racial model, she started a company, Hair Rules, with business partner Anthony Dickey.
The salon and product lines specialize in “curly, frizzy and otherwise texture-challenged hair”, providing services to a too often over-looked market of people with hair that was outside of the normal conversation of beauty. Hair Rules launched Blow Out Collection, which allows women to add some versatility to their hair routine without the use of harsh chemicals or silicones.
Eager to give back and support others, Kara became involved with Action Against Hunger, and now sits on their Board of Directors. This wonderful organization furnishes nutrition, health, and care programs worldwide from “overcrowded urban slums to refugee camps.” Kara is an active board member of Second Stage Helen Hayes Theater in New York. And board member of the Second Stage Theater American Living Playwrights.
Always the philanthropist, Kara was given an award for underwriting the medical care for 5 years at The Antioch Baptist Church. This is the source of primary medical care for so many of the less fortunate. It’s the only place for the community to get flu shots, check ups, vaccines and basic health care.
Kara is so disarming, smart and funny; she is sure to challenge any pre-conceived notions about a jet-setting supermodel. As you can see in this interview, it’s impossible not to like her.
