American child actress Kylie Rogers, is best known for her role as Minx Lawrence in the TV series, “The Whispers” & Anna Beam in the movie “Miracles from Heaven.
The sixteen-year old actress showed an interest in acting early on, and her parents enrolled her in an acting school to hone her skills. The teachers were quick to notice her talent and suggested that she get an agent. Her family relocated to Los Angeles to help their daughter launch her acting career.
Kylie started her acting at age eight, when she was chosen to appear in an episode of the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives and the horror anthology film Horror House. Her stellar performances earned her the attention of show producers, which lead to offers from television and films.
Kylie’s first t.v role was that of “Sarah Nelson” on ABC’s Private Practice (2012). Since then, she has appeared in various television shows on all major networks, most notably guest starring as “Molly Goodwin” in CBS’s hit, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2013). Her first major film was the lead role of Sunshine in the 2014 science fiction black comedy Space Station 76, starring Patrick Wilson and Liv Tyler.
After those roles, she was offered roles in many movies and TV series. In 2014, at just 10-years-old, the little actress was contracted to appear in Steven Spielberg‘s “The Whispers” – about extra-terrestrial beings who take over Earth by using children. That job earned her a whooping paycheck of $20K per episode of its sole season. Rogers had an opportunity to co-act with the stars Barry Sloane, Lily Rabe and Kristen Konolly, gaining popularity internationally. It was a great leap in her career, after which she was i to act in big screen movies and television films.
In 2015, she appeared in the crime thriller, Mojave. Other notable roles include the 2015 drama film Fathers and Daughters and episodes of Mob City, Deadtime Stories, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and the character of Sarah Nelson on Private Practice.
She nabbed one of the starring roles in Tri-Star’s faith-based drama, Miracles from Heaven in 2016. The movie recounts the true story of a girl who had a near-death experience and who miraculously overcame an incurable disease. After she was dramatically rescued from a near-death experience, a stunning series of miracles unfolded that left her family, her medical doctors and community baffled and their lives forever changed.
She played the part of Anna, daughter of Christy Beam, portrayed by Jennifer Garner. The two accepted the award for choice movie: drama for the movie at the Teen Choice Awards.
Rodgers’ latest project was Apple TV+’s family mystery series Home Before Dark wherein she plays alongside the main character of Brooklyn Prince.
Home Before Dark is set to follow “a young girl who moves from Brooklyn to the small lakeside town her father left behind. While there, her dogged pursuit of the truth leads her to unearth a cold case that everyone in town, including her own father, tried hard to bury.”
With more than 20 films and TV shows ion her resume, this teen has a very bright future in front of her.
