As she told Forbes, “I wasn’t able to get out a full story … I couldn’t really spill my emotions out in a pop song.” In rap, I can. Singer, dancer, actress, beauty queen, motocross champion, what can’t Lex do? Won a beauty pageant when she was five. A champion motorcycle racer from 8 to 11. Lexy told Billboard, “I’m so excited to be sharing ‘Fall‘ with my fans because I haven’t ever released a song like this before,” addressing the “slower vibe” of this song. “I think people will really relate to the lyrics, so I’m excited to hear what everyone thinks and how the song makes them feel.” “Fall” follows the release of the Lexy’s first EP, “A Gemini Valentine“, which featured singles, “Want Him Now“ & “Room” & her hit collaboration with Mozzy on “My Love“.
Lexy is inspired by female rappers currently because of their confidence & “bad bitch vibes.” The messages some female rappers put out send is so important these days. Especially, with all the bullying going on in schools. Lexy had self confidence issues throughout her life. Lexy hopes to inspire other women too. “You’ve got to embrace your body and love it. All you have is yourself,” she says.
Being in an industry known for gender inequality upsets Lexy. She would love to have a team of women working around her. She’s disappointed by how very few female engineers, producers, videographers & photographers there are in music.
Virgin Lex released her first rap song, “Only Fans,” at the end of April. It’s one of ten tracks on her EP, The Savagery, which she expects to drop in June. Being an international star does provide much privacy or time to date. Lexy was dating Brooklyn Beckham for a while but says there was “zero chance” of them ever getting back together — or even talking. “He tried to reach out to me, but I’m pretty much ignoring it because there’s nothing left to talk about or say,” she said, adding that it was “a long-distance thing” that simply “wasn’t working out.” that she’s often mentioned as an ex of Brooklyn Beckham’s, she told Us it “sucks” and is “not fun.”
Then there was the Bella Thorne/Gregg Sulkin debacle. Bella and Lexy worked together on Tyler Perry‘s 2016 comedy film, Boo! A Madea Halloween. A year later, Lexy and Gregg were supposedly dating.
Did Lexy, ‘betray Bella’ by dating her ex? Absolutely not! A source told TMZ: ‘They were just ‘Hollywood kiss kiss’ friends. Bella & Lexy hadn’t even spoken since the film wrapped. “I always write about my relationships, so you’ll hear a lot about that,” she said, hyping up her new music.
